My dad's passing on his 69 nova on to me this year, and I just turned 16. It is a manual transmission and kind of hard to drive for a starter such as myself. So I wonder, is it a good idea to practice on another manual transmission car, or are they different. (95 explorer). It seems the hardest part for me is taking off from a red light in low gear. The car will bump around and sometimes shut off.

See I have an automatic transmission and I wanna swap it out for a manual. I'm planning on changing out the headers, and adding a CAI and cat-back exhaust. Maybe a turbo later on so I would like to know of a good transmission with a high horsepower and torque rating and a price estimate, thanks!

Is there a way that a dealership will change an automatic transmission to a manual transmission? And does anyone know how much it might cost?

I have a Chevy granny gear 3 speed manual transmission 4x4 truck and the transmission is bad. Can I put a 2x4 transmission in it and still have my 4x4?
